A leader we can count on!
Dedicated Public Servant. Raised in Vigo County. Proven Leader.
Rooted in Community
Amy was raised in Terre Haute, near the 12 Points area, and now lives in the Farrington’s Grove neighborhood with her husband and two sons. She attended public school, graduating from Terre Haute North Vigo High School in 1999, and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree and master’s in public administration from Indiana State University. Together, Amy and her husband have built their life in Terre Haute.
Built on Hard Work
Amy and her husband, a US Army Infantry veteran and public-school teacher, understand the struggles of making ends meet in hard times, like many other Vigo County families. From working service jobs while pursuing their education to saving for a home and raising their two sons, they learned early that success does not come easy; it is earned through sacrifice, perseverance, and hard work.
Dedicated to Public Service
With years of experience in public service and policy, Amy served as a speechwriter and advisor to former Lt. Governor Becky Skillman and was elected to the Vigo County School Corporation Board of Trustees in 2020 and re-elected in 2024, serving as Board President in 2023-2024. She has led the fight for better school facilities and sound financial stewardship with a focus on protecting Vigo County property rights.
"I believe in a leadership style that reflects the values of the people who live and work here. I'm ready to take your voice to Indianapolis."
